An authentic Wood Fired Oven makes the perfect centrepiece for any entertaining area. There’s nothing like the crackle of real timber burning, the smell of wood smoke and the cheery, twinkling light of a fire to bring people together. Then there’s the food; from hand stretched pizzas cooked in 90 seconds to shoulders of meat left to slow-roast for 8 hours, and everything in between.

The PreCast Oven Kit is designed for DIY; we’ve done all of the hard work for you – you get the fun of putting it together.

It’s little wonder Wood Fired Ovens are so popular. Now, we’ve made them simple.

If you’re looking for a Wood Fired Oven that’s easy to assemble, fits into a small space and heats up quickly, then our PreCast Oven Kit is what you’ve been searching for. Our PreCast Oven Kits have the same front arch as our PreCut Brick Ovens, which you’ll create using our PreCut fire bricks and PreCast Flue Gallery, for an authentic, timeless look.

The internal dome is made up of stainless steel fibre-reinforced refractory sections, cast in hand polished CNC machined molds by our dedicated team. At every point we have looked for ways to minimise your effort taken to build this kit, without impacting on quality. We’re very proud of the result.

More Information

The first step in building our PreCast Oven is to create a stand to build the oven on. You can make a full brick stand with a suspended concrete slab (see our Stand Building video series below) or because the PreCast Oven is a reasonable weight, you could also purchase our optional Steel Stand for the P85 Oven to be built on.

We have uploaded detailed drawings below showing you how the steel frame is manufactured so you could make one yourself if you enjoy welding! We also have some guides on building a brick stand below using 150mm wide Adbri ‘Versaloc’ Concrete Blocks.

If your installation involves anything more complex than the basic setup that we provide in the kit, you must engage a suitably qualified plumber to supply and install the flue for you. Your local fireplace store will have several professionals they can recommend. Your oven can reach extreme temperatures, to the point where the flue glows orange. This is extremely important. If you install your own flue system and your oven somehow causes a catastrophic fire, your home insurance cover may be null and void. Put this in the same category as working with high voltage electricity - the risks outweigh the rewards. Don’t risk it, use a licensed plumber.

If you want one of our Wood Fired Ovens professionally installed we have a network of Oven Builders that we can put you in touch with. We call these artisans ‘Flamesmiths’ – experts in building our Wood Fired Oven Kits.

Please see the approximate pricing for some of the services that our Flamesmiths offer;

P85 PreCast Oven Construction: $1500*
D105 PreCut Brick Oven Construction: $2500*
D130 PreCut Brick Oven Construction: $3500*

*Please note these prices are only an indication, and will vary depending on access and travel time. Prices are for the construction of the oven kit only, not including the stand or any finishes. These can be quoted by the Flamesmith.

We’ve created a set of detailed instructions to guide you through the process of building your P85 PreCast Oven Kit. We want you to have a great time building it, so we’ve put a lot of effort into them to make the project as enjoyable as possible.

There are two sets of instructions; a detailed written guide and a video series to accompany it. You will need both – the written instructions give you details that can’t be covered in the videos, and the videos teach you things that can’t be covered in writing.
